Hi all, 2016 has finally ended. No matter how great or worst it was, we have passed the year on a good note. We have successfully completed a year and are now ready to face the challenges 2017 has in store. If you are someone who wants to make 2017 the most productive year, then you ought to read this. 1. Plan for the next day Start from planning some simple things for the next day like choosing your dress and keeping them ready, which can help you save time in the morning and will go a long way. Make a list of the various tasks for the next day and complete them in order. 2. Set a Daily Goal Your daily goal can be either exercising or replying to all clients’ emails. Do not procrastinate your daily goal as achieving your daily goal can make a big difference in your success journey. 3. Write a ‘Stop Doing’ list Productivity is really about what you don’t do. So write a list of things that are avoiding you from being productive. It may be things like not opening your email when you arrive at work or sleeping with your smart phone in the bedroom. 4. ‘One minute’ rule Follow the 'one-minute’ rule and do any task that can be finished in one minute. Answer an email, note down a citation, pick up your phone message and so on. Because the tasks are so quick, it isn't too hard to follow the rule but it has big results. 5. Prioritize your tasks Prioritize your tasks based on their importance. Asking these questions to yourself will help you prioritize better. a. ‘Where can you cut back?’ b. ‘Where can you save time?’ c. 'What tasks can you put off without much consequence?' 6. When you’re bored, do what you love! No matter how much you love your job, we humans can get bored. When boredom strikes you at work, listen to your favorite music or doodle or have a cup of coffee. 7. You are your own Competitor Do not compete with others. Instead compete with yourself so that you can grow as a person. The moment you start competing with others, you have lost the track as you compete with others for someone else’s goal. 8. Stay out of negativity This digital era is quite a negative one. Not everyone are happy for your growth. Cut off people who spread negative energy. You know your potential and you don’t need any negativity around you. 9. Take a Break Spend a weekend with your family or friends at a place you love. Spend time with people who would encourage you and lift you. Clear out your mind and get ready for the battle. 10. Treat Yourself Once you have achieved your daily target for a month, give yourself a treat. Go for a spa or buy yourself a new dress/watch. It is an easy way to keep you motivated. 2017 is your year, so give your best. All the best winners! For regular updates, follow me on
