2. Make your perfume last longer by spraying it behind the ears, behind knees, inside elbows and hair. 3. Make your lips look plumpy by lining the lips using a lip liner before applying lipstick. Line outside of your lips with a concealer that will make your lips look prominent and poppped up. 4. If your gel eye liner has become dry, pour a drop of coconut oil or almond oil and mix it. Leave it for a day and use it on the next day. 5. Convert your eye shadows into eye liners by mixing the eye shadows with water. Use an eye liner brush to apply. 6. Make your eye shadow intense by applying a coat of white eye liner on your eye lids and then apply your favourite colour of eye shadow. 7. Heat your eye lash curler using a hairdryer. Let it cool. Use it as usual to curl your lashes. This will make your eye lash curling process faster. 8. Get thicker eye lashes instantly by dusting translucent powder on your lashes in between mascara coats. 9. Last weekend I spent some quality family time at Chittar dam 2 which is located in Kanyakumari district, Tamil Nadu. It is nearly 43 kms from Nagercoil and 52 kms from Trivandrum. It took us about 1 and a half hours to reach there but it was a very memorable journey. On the way to Chittar dam, we passed through Padmanabhapuram Palace which was the palace of the Travancore king, as Padmanabhapuram was the erstwhile capital of the state of Travancore in India. Next was the Thirparappu falls, which falls in the Kodayar or Kothai River. While passing through Thirparappu, we happen to see three elephants carrying branches accompanied by their trainers (paahans). While we were still amused looking at the elephants, the scenic beauty of a river with coconut trees on both sides left us awestruck. Little did we know that it was just the beginning of surprises! It felt like entering a whole new world – a world with no mobile network but just beautiful trees. The roads were paved through rubber estates. The rubber trees on both sides of the road acted as tunnels and the roads just like railway tracks. We saw a few monkeys on the way, which were way cute. In a few minutes we reached Chittar dam. I’m a water person and it is a paradise for all water lovers. The place was breezy and the view was great. On one side was the dam and hills. The other side had coconut trees and many other trees. We stopped every few minutes to click pictures. We got down at a safe place to take a dip. The water was chill and the tides greeted us every now and then. It was one of the peaceful places I’ve ever been to. Chittar dam also has a children’s park. We visited the park which had benches, swings, see-saw, slide, merry-go-round and lots of trees. It was a place to relieve our childhood memories and me and my mom couldn’t resist us. So we spent a few minutes swinging. We drove back home with a heavy heart and mind full of memories.
