Today’s blog is about my skincare routine. Taking proper care of our skin plays an important role in maintaining our skin’s texture. A few of you had asked me about my skincare routine, so here it is!
1. Face Wash
I use face wash 3 times a day – morning, evening and night. These 3 are my favourite face washes which work best on my skin. My face is the most oiliest at the morning and the Clean and Clear face wash removes excessive oil. For evening I either use Himalaya Neem Face wash or Himalaya Kesar Face wash. Going to sleep with a clean face is very important and I prefer using Dove’s face wash which is a mild cleanser at night.
2. Face Scrub
I scrub my face thrice a week to get rid of impurities and dead cells. I use Biotique Bio Papaya face scrub in circular motion for about 2 minutes to remove dead skin cells and avoid blackheads.
Moisturising helps in avoiding dry skin patches and balancing natural oil segregation. I use Lacto Calamine on a regular basis and if my skin gets too dry, I apply Boroline for a few minutes and wash it off.
Applying sunscreen is one of the most important step of my skincare routine and I wouldn’t ever step out without applying a sunscreen. I prefer using Lotus Safe Sun matte gel with SPF 50.
5. Lip Balm
Lip balms protect the lips from harsh UV rays and give supple and soft lips. I like tinted lip balms so I use Maybelline baby lips electro pops, Maybelline baby lips candy wow or Lakme lip love.
6. Lip Scrub
I apply Himalaya lip balm and leave it overnight and scrub it off with the back side of a tooth brush in the morning. This exfoliates and removes dead cells from the lips.
7. Night Cream
My skincare routine wouldn’t be complete without this step. Night creams repair our skin and rejuvenates while we sleep. This results in a fresh looking, young skin and slows down the ageing process of the skin. I’ve been using Pond’s Age Miracle deep action night cream for a year now.
