Kajals were one of the first makeup traditions that have been practiced and it hasn’t lost its charm yet. A typical Indian woman is incomplete without kajal rimmed eyes. Being a kajal lover, one wouldn’t spot me without kajal when am out. I started using kajal when I was in college and it definitely made my deep sunken eyes look attractive. I get excited whenever a new kajal is launched and I love trying different ones. Today I’ll be listing my top 5 favorite kajals which are under Rs.500.
1. Faces Magneteyes Kajal
This is one of the best kajals available in the Indian market yet an under rated product. It is highly pigmented, affordable, glides smoothly and stays longer. This is a must try kajal for all kajal lovers and is appropriate for daily wear. It is priced at Rs. 175.
2. Lakme Eyeconic Kajal
As a competitor for the colossal kajal, Lakme’s Eyeconic kajal was introduced. There have been a lot of comparison between the two products on the internet but I love them both. Eyeconic kajal isn’t as pigmented as the Colossal kajal but it has better staying power. It is priced at Rs. 199.
3. Nykaa Rock The Line Kajal
Nykaa’s Rock The Line kajal is a newly launched product which is highly pigmented, glides smoothly and lasts for a long time. It doesn’t smudge and gets darker in two swipes. It is appropriate for office use as it would stay on the whole day. It is priced at Rs. 199.
4. Maybelline Colossal Kajal Super Black
After using the Maybelline Colossal kajal, I shifted to the super black version which proved to be better than the original one. This is more pigmented and lasts for a long time. This is appropriate for daily use as it lasts for the whole day. It is priced at Rs. 300.
5. Plum Kajal
This is a much hyped gel kajal in a pencil. This is the darkest and stays for the longest time. It doesn’t smudge even when it is applied on upper lash line but it has to be sharpened. This is appropriate for special occasions and weddings. It is priced at Rs. 425.
