Hi all, Hope you are all doing well. Dandruff is one of the most common hair issues faced by half of the population. So what is dandruff? Dandruff is the shedding of dead skin cells from the scalp. Then why is it a big deal? Small amount of flaking caused by dead skin cells is normal but, if you experience unusually large amount of flaking, you should get alert. I have extremely dry scalp and this DIY has been my anti – dandruff solution for a while now. You’ll need
Neem Leaves - It is scientifically proven that neem trees have medicinal qualities and these are inflammatory, antibacterial and anti-fungal, the qualities that help in controlling dandruff. It addresses the root causes of dandruff and improves the health of our scalp. Curry Leaves – This is used by our ancestors for centuries to treat hair ailments as it is rich in antioxidants, beta-carotene, Vitamin B. These not only gets rid of dandruff but also promotes hair growth and avoids premature greying. Tulsi Leaves – Tulsi is one herb which you can find in any Indian household. Famous for its anti – bacterial properties, it is considered as a herb with several medicinal and healing properties including dandruff. Aloe Vera Gel – Aloe Vera is undoubtedly the magical herb as it can cure anything and everything. It cointains various minerals, vitamins, antiseptic and anti – fungal properties that soothes, moisturizes and removes dandruff causing fungus and yeast on scalp. Fenugreek Powder – Fenugreek is a natural anti – fungal herb which exfoliates and cleans the scalp making it dandruff free. It also has protein, lecithin and nicotinic which are extremely useful against hair fall, dandruff and help to treat variety of scalp issues like dryness of hair. Method of preparation & usage
Note - Fenugreek powder may stick to your scalp, so make sure to rinse it properly. The Result As I had mentioned earlier, my scalp is extremely dry and dandruff can’t be removed easily. But right after my first usage, it was easier to remove the dandruff and my scalp was nourished. Regular usage has improved the texture of my hair and made my scalp dandruff free. Had heard about Neem leaves anti-dandruff properties. Didn't know about curry leaves though.
