Hello all, February was a great month. I tried few new products, expanded my connections and got to know more about blogging & social media. As it is the first day of March, I thought of sharing my favorite products of the previous month. These products may be new launches or newly discovered ones or the ones I’ve started liking. Let’s move into my February favorites. 1. Khadi Gold Peel Off Mask This peel off mask is amazing and brings back the glow to your face at just Rs. . It works best for parties or any special occasions or simply when you want to glow. Read my complete review about the product for more details. 2. Maybelline Ruby Twilight Lipstick This lipstick is an old purchase but I received a lot of compliments for this shade in my recent Instagram photo. Hello fashionistas, Hope you are all doing well. Today I’ll be sharing my Ethnic wardrobe essentials for daily wear as part of the wardrobe essentials series. You can read my Western wardrobe essentials here. 1. Kurtas Kurtas are one of the most comfortable ethnic wear. They come in different colours, prints and styles. I’d prefer knee length kurtas with 3/4th sleeves in black and white. They can be paired with different colours of bottoms and shawls, enabling us to play with colours. 2. Leggings Leggings are a saviour from the loose, unfitted tailored chudidars. They are comfortable, fitting and saves the tailoring fee for different chudidars. A few solid colours of leggings such as in black, white, red and you are sorted for a long time. 3. Patiala Patialas are a must, especially a white patiala which can be paired with bright coloured tops. These loose patialas are comfortable yet very ethnic. These are summer appropriate as they have so much room to breathe. 4. Palazzos Palazzos are so much in fashion. They can be styled with both ethnic and western outfits. Look effortlessly stylish in a pair of palazzos and a kurta. 5. Dupatta I strongly feel that a dupatta can either make or break a look. A dupatta with borders or embroidery in different silks increases the style quotient of a look. Look out for different colours and prints of dupatta to mix and match with your kurtas. 6. Ethnic Jackets Ethnic jackets can be used as an alternative for dupattas. These can be styled effortlessly with a plain colored kurtas and stand out of the crowd. Purchase a printed ethnic jacket and you are good to go. 7. Long Skirts Long skirts with ethnic prints can give a twist to your ethnic collection. Invest in long skirts block prints and dark colors so that it can be paired with a white or a black top and you are ready to swirl. 8. Jhumkas An ethnic wear is never complete without accessories, especially jhumkas. They come in different sizes, colours and metals. A golden jhumka with pearls is a timeless ethnic piece. 9. Juttis / Kolhapuris A pair of juttis or kolhapuris are must haves in your ethnic wardrobe. They are comfortable, airy and are available in different colours and models. 10. Jute Bags
Jute bags are ethnic and eco-friendly. They are popular now and are available in unique patterns and models. They can be paired with all the above ethnic wears and complete your look. Hi all, Hope you are all doing well. Lately my skin has been acting weird. I wanted to try a natural mask which will transform my skin. I was tempted to buy Khadi Gold Peel Off mask as soon as I watched Komal’s review. I was also told by my parents that I was given gold powder as a baby for healthy skin. So I couldn’t wait to give a dose of gold to my skin. If you want to know what I feel about this product, please keep on reading. Packaging The peel off mask comes in a plastic transparent tub with a black cap. It also has a silver foil sealing under the cap to avoid spills. But unfortunately, there was product spill when I received the product. Description Khadi gold peel off mask and body mask is effective and powerful blend of pure honey and gold dust extract along with natural oils to nourish the skin and tighten the pores. Ingredients Grapeseed extracts, cucumber extracts, honey, aloe vera, gold dust, apricot Price & Quantity Khadi Gold Peel Off mask is priced at Rs. 130 for 50 grams of product. Smell & Consistency The mask has a soothing sandal smell which is refreshing and mouth watering too. The consistency is neither thick nor runny. It doesn’t drip when applied in a thin layer. My Experience I applied a thin layer of the peel off mask on my face and let it dry for 15 minutes. It was soothing and refreshing as soon as I applied it. I’m not a fan of peel off masks as they are difficult to peel. But Khadi’s gold peel off mask was easier to peel though it was a little painful as I have facial hair. I felt my skin to be tight but couldn’t find any instant glow which was quite sad. The next morning my skin was glowing (quite literally!). I found that the texture of my skin had improved and my skin looked healthier as if I had a facial done. I would advise you to apply it a night before any event or function for better results. My Final Thoughts Khadi Gold Peel Off mask is herbal, affordable, effective and safe to use. It can be a little painful but with no pain you don’t gain. As it is in a tub, it is not a travel friendly product. This is a must try product if you are in search of herbal home facial kits. I’m excited to try their other variants too. For regular updates, follow me on Hello all, Hope you are all doing well. I’m a lipstick lover and you must be aware of it by now. I recently reviewed Sugar cosmetic’s lip crayon in the shade Scarlett O’Hara and I’ve loved it so much. I wanted to try another shade of the same range and was confused between Rose Dawson and Holy Golightly. Finally I decided to go with Rose Dawson as it was darker than Holy Golightly and had pink undertones. Today I’ll be sharing my thoughts on my new everyday wear lipstick – Sugar Cosmetic’s Rose Dawson. Packaging This lip crayon has a cardboard outer packaging which has abstract prints on it and is artistic. The lip crayon is matte black with a sturdy cap and the color of the shade at the end. The company’s name along with the shade names are written in white. Price Sugar Cosmetic’s Matte as Hell Crayons are priced at Rs. 799 for 2.8 gms of product. Color & Pigmentation The shade Rose Dawson is a beautiful my lips but better kind of a shade with pink undertones. It is highly pigmented and makes the lips opaque in one swipe. The color can be built with additional swipes. It is appropriate for daily wear and looks best when paired with bold eye makeup. Texture & Staying Power The texture of the lip crayon is creamy and glides effortlessly on the lip. Though it is a matte lipstick, it doesn’t dry the lips. It isn’t heavy unlike some lipsticks and is comfortable to wear. It stayed for about 6 + hours on my lips, survived a light dinner and the lipstick had only slightly faded away. My Final Thoughts
Rose Dawson is suitable for everyone who is looking out for nude lipsticks. It is worth the price as it stays long and gives a natural finish to your look. Sharpening the lip crayon surely breaks my heart. If you are looking for a nude shade that wouldn’t wash you out, you’ve already found it. What are you waiting for, go grab it ASAP!
