1. Drink lots of water
I'm sure you've heard this a zillion times but I'm going to repeat this. Drinking lots of water helps in flushing out toxins and keeps your skin clear. Avoid caffeinated beverages and drink fresh fruit juices or tender coconut water instead.
2. Apply Sunscreen
Applying sunscreen regularly is a ritual that mustn’t be skipped especially during Summers. Choose a sunscreen with at least an SPF of 30. Reapply the sunscreen if needed.
Exfoliating your skin two to three times a week will remove the dead cells that clog your pores. This makes your skin radiant and healthier. Always choose products with natural exfoliating grains.
4. Use a toner
A skin toner will close the pores of your skin and keep the skin cool. You can apply ice cubes before applying sunscreen or use rose water as a toner. This controls excessive sweating too.
5. No or less makeup
Makeup becomes messy during summer. So avoid heavy makeup and opt for a light makeup instead.
6. Moisturize your skin
You may feel tempted to skip on moisturizing your skin during Summer as your skin doesn’t get dry easily. Moisturizing your skin keeps your skin hydrated and supple during Summer.
7. Don’t skip your lip balm
Lips need protection from the harsh UV rays. So don’t forget to apply lip balm every day. Choose a lip balm with SPF.
